From the President

Greetings fellow Lacers,

It is hard to realize it is time for another newsletter.  ‘Time Marches On and Time Fly’s’ come to mind.  Time may march steadily forward but I think Time Fly’s applies in today environment, there is never enough time and it passes in a flash! I hope you make time to lace!  Our vacation is planned for June, I plan on packing a pillow or two and hope to relax on the deck and work on my 3 yard challenge if I have the spare time!

I hope you look forward to each issue of Pillow Talk as it brings you up to date on what is going on in your guild.  Debbie does a wonderful job as editor, but she can only edit what we send her.  I want to encourage you to share any information you may have (remember to include pictures) with the rest of the guild members.  Please send any information to Debbie as soon as possible (approx deadline is the 15th of the Jan, April, July or Oct), this allows her to have the time to edit the information into the newsletter format.  Also please remember, most of the time Debbie is short of items to include but on the chance she receives more than she needs for one month she will hold the information to include in another newsletter.

I want to thank Louis for the wonderful article, it was great to learn about a fellow lacer, I hope each of you has either already sent in something about yourselves or are working on something to send in.  I can look at the membership list and read the name, but to be able to place a face and other information with the name, that is so much better.  To the members who have been around for a while this might not seem such a big deal but for the newer members or members who are not able to travel and meet others in the guild this helps a lot.

I would like to thank Lise for the great pattern she designed and for her patience in teaching us how to lace our sections, for the hard work and time she spent in setting up the exhibit.  I want to thank Jim and Susan for bringing the ‘Stuff’ that supplies our needs. I happen to think they are the best vendor at the quilt show!  I also want to say thank you to everyone who helped set up, demonstrate, man the booth or in any why helped make this Exhibit and Demonstration a success.  Thanks to everyone who laced a section for the garland.

Thank you,

PAM
